Last week, the world was able to see where Anthony Anderson may have gotten some of his comedy from. During a game of Celebrity Family Feud with Steve Harvey, Doris (Anthony’s mother) stunned viewers with her surprising answer about a nude magician. The clip has since gained over 100,000 views on YouTube. Now news is spreading that we will see Anthony alongside his mother again on TV. For ABC’s reboot of former game show ‘To Tell The Truth’, Anthony has been announced as the host and his mother will be the show’s official score keeper. The Hollywood Reporter went on to explain the outline of the show and a few others who will be involved.
The network has tapped Blackish star Anthony Anderson to host the six-episode series, which will feature panelists Betty White and Nene Leakes, among others to be announced. The new series is described as an anarchic and funny reimagination of the original series that ran for more than 20 seasons on broadcast networks and in syndication across six decades. The four, with the other two panelists still to be announced, will be presented with three people who all claim to be the same person with the same incredible talent, job or achievement. One is sworn to tell the truth while the others aren’t. The panel of celebrities will have a chance to grill each participant before taking turns deciding who they think is telling the truth. Anderson’s mother Doris will be the official scorekeeper and ask questions of her own. The celebrity panelist who performs the worst will have to tweet a lie about themselves to the world. Cheche and his Band of Liars will serve as the house band. Each episode will end with a show-stopping stunt/performance.
