Bounce TV Pulls ‘The Cosby Show’ Off-Air After Guilty Verdict

Yesterday, Bill Cosby was found guilty on three counts of sexual assault. The comedian who many feel changed the landscape of black images on TV, is facing 30 years behind bars. Immediately after it was announced that Cosby’s The Cosby Show would be removed from Bounce TV.  If you can recall, Bounce TV made headlines when it announced that they will be airing re-runs of The Cosby Show. In their statement yesterday, they would express that the removal of the sitcom will be “Effective immediately”.

In light of the guilty verdict in Bill Cosby’s sexual assault trial, the black-centric Bounce TV has pulled reruns of The Cosby Show. “Effective immediately, Bounce is removing The Cosby Show from our schedule,” Bounce TV said in a statement. Bounce TV had been airing reruns of the show since 2016.
