Def Comedy Jam’s 25th anniversary took place last night in Los Angeles and brought out every comedy pioneer one can think of. The event which will be headed to Netflix on September 26th brought out comedians, and producers from the show as well as Russell Simmons. Most notably, we’ve found out a reunion took place amongst two kings of comedy, DL Hughley and Steve Harvey. Earlier this year when Donald Trump was getting started in the White House, the two legendary comedians found themselves on the opposite sides of the fence. For Hughley, he’s never been a fan of Trump since his campaign days and Harvey faced backlash for cooperating to meet with the now 45th president.
Despite not sharing the same views on Trump, the men’s bond remains unbothered. During the upcoming event they both posed for a picture with a fan showing that things are still cool between them. Harvey recently moved his show STEVE to Los Angeles so maybe we will see more of Harvey and Hughley together.
Look out for Def Comedy Jam’s 25th anniversary on Netflix on Sept. 26.
