Donald Glover Surprises Chicago Kids With ‘This Is America’ Live

Last night, Donald Glover added to his list of good deeds as he surprised a group of Chicago kids for the community program, ‘Open Mike Chicago’. Not only would Donald, who’s rap alter-ego is Childish Gambino, just show up, he would even perform his hit, ‘This Is America’ along with several other songs. The performance would have the students excited as the Emmy award-winning creative would put his Hollywood persona to the side.  ‘Open Mike Chicago’ which is hosted by Glover’s friend Chance The Rapper, looks to be a platform for students in the area who could use a positive outlet to express themselves. Chance the Rapper threw hundreds of kids into hysteria … not with his own performance, but by bringing surprise guest Donald Glover into the mix at a Chicago talent show. Chance emceed an event Monday night called OpenMike for Chi-Town high schoolers and when he said his next guest needed no introduction … and the “This Is America” beat dropped … the kids totally flipped!
