Comedy clubs are important platforms for comedians as they strive to make a name for themselves. Without a comedy club, it would be hard for your favorite comedian to develop their live act. Last month, to celebrate North Hollywood ‘s HaHa Cafe Comedy Club 30th Anniversary; comedian Jack Jr. would invite out several big names in comedy for the club’s first ever comedy festival. Comedians like Alex Thomas, King Bach, Paul Rodriguez, Nate Jackson, and Ken Jeong would be amongst the names featured during the two-day event. Judging from the recap video, the first year of ‘NoHo Comedy Fest’ went well. Check it out, below.
Here’s an excerpt of the press release sent out:
The festival brought out hundreds of comedians and included nightly shows, showcases, panels, live podcast tapings, and open mics, during the duration of the festival’s six days. Winners of the Rising Star Comedians submitted to be entered into the festival’s comedy submission portion and were able to secure a spot at the festival. Hundreds submitted but only a handful were chosen.
