Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out’ Becomes Second Highest-Grossing R-Rated Horror In History

Jordan Peele has definitely made his mark with film Get Out, and the numbers are in to prove it. According to Box Office numbers; Get Out now sits in the second spot as the highest grossed R-Rated Horror. The films has gained over $165M since it’s release in February placing it under The Exorcist on the all-time horror list.

Jordan Peele’s Get Out has made $164.65 million after earning $441,000 on Thursday. That means, barring a massive downturn, today is the day when it passes the $165m mark at the domestic box office. Why does that matter? Well, aside from being a nice, round number, as soon as it passes the $165.092m domestic total of Hannibal, that Get Out is now the second-biggest R-rated horror movie ever in North America.
