Sketch comedy series, Key And Peele has announced that the show will be coming to an end after it’s current 5th season. This comes as a surprise for many, since the series has created a strong following of viewers over the years on Comedy Central. According to Keegan Michael Key, the ending of the show was a decision he and Jordan made as they look to move forward with other ventures. Keegan over the weekend spoke to The Wrap about the show coming to an end.
This is our final season – and it’s not because of Comedy Central, it’s us,” said Key. “It was just time for us to explore other things, together and apart. I compare it to Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. We might make a movie and then do our own thing for three years and then come back and do another movie. “I’m thinking we could do that every three years – take a year, go bang out a movie. That’s the plan right now.
Currently Jordan and Keegan have been putting their time in the upcoming comedy ‘Keanu’ starring Nia Long and a few others. To catch the last and final season of ‘Key And Peele’ you can tune into Comedy Central every Wednesday at 10PM.
Wait till you see what we do next tho.
