Comedian Roy Wood Jr. stopped by the Jay Davis Show to talk about his career in comedy and in television. The FAMU graduate talks about his humble beginnings in comedy, as well as what his early grind consisted of. This interview was filled with laughter and levity as Roy shared some of his experiences on the road. One incident was a run in with actor Samuel L Jackson. Let’s just say this encounter with one of his heroes did not work out the way he intended it to.

Roy also talks about his time on the show Sullivan and Son, and sheds light on why the show ended abruptly. Roy explains how his broadcasting background helps with the weekly preparation for The Daily Show.
