Tiffany Haddish Responds To Cosby Joke Backlash: “Sometimes You Are Going To Make Some Bad Jokes”

Tiffany Haddish has gone to new heights in the matter of weeks after hitting the screen for Girls Trip. The comedy has been pretty much dubbed as “The comedy of the summer.” As she was making the rounds for press apart of the film; Haddish went on to discuss Bill Cosby with the LA Times. In her discussion she told the paper,  “I still want to work with Bill Cosby… I don’t care, I’ll drink the juice. I’ll drink the juice. I’ll take a nap. I don’t give a damn. But seriously, I would love for him to play my grandfather in something.” Since then her quote on Cosby has been making some upset who caught wind of it. Today Tiffany went on to clarify the statement and wanted people to know “it was a joke.”

On Thursday, the actress directly addressed those remarks. “It was a joke,” she said at a Television Critics Association press tour panel. “I don’t know if you’ve ever been interviewed. You go through about 27 interviews and you’re supposed to be humorous—sometimes you are going to make some bad jokes.” The actress was at the event to promote TBS’s upcoming series The Last O.G.,alongside her costars Cedric the Entertainer and Tracy Morgan. She continued by referencing her own difficult past and saying that she’s “not afraid to do anything.”
