Tracee Ellis Ross Beats Out Issa Rae For Best Actress In A TV Comedy Or Musical, At The Golden Globes

Last night was a win for everyone at The Golden Globes. Issa Rae who easily was a favorite leading up to the event didn’t leave with an award but more people become aware of the new comers talent. Issa along with Tracee Elis Ross were both nominations for Best Actress In A TV Comedy Or Musical with Ross receiving the Globe. Ross’s win marks her being the first black woman to win the particular award in 35 years. The last black actress to win Best Actress In A TV Comedy Or Musical was Debbie Allen for Fame. Either way this year’s Golden Globes was a win for all to be apart. Seeing Issa not leave with a Golded Globe was hard for some but even she realized that Ross was deserving of the acknowledgement.
