Tracy Morgan’s ‘The Last O.G.’ Series Pushed Back To 2018 After Showrunner Exits

Tracy Morgan has been slowly getting things together to make his return back to television with new series, The Last OG on TBS. The project also includes Tiffany Haddish, and Cedric The Entertainer. It has now been noted that the series’s showrunner John Carcieri is no longer apart of the show. The reason for Carcieri’s exit has not been revealed.

Variety has confirmed that executive producer and showrunner John Carcieri has left “The Last O.G.” the new TBS comedy series in which Morgan is set to star. Originally scheduled to premiere next week, the series is now set to debut some time in 2018…….Carcieri, an executive producer on the show alongside Peele and Morgan, was previously a writer on HBO’s “Eastbound and Down” and “Vice Principals.” It was on the former that Carcieri got his first television job, hired as a writers’ assistant by his University of North Carolina classmates Jody Hill and Danny McBride.
