With The Carmichael Show behind us, West is now looking to work with another comedian for TV. Yesterday it was announced that she has officially joined Damon Wayans Jr. for an announced ‘untitled comedy-pilot’ over at CBS. West is set to play Wayan’s wife in the project as they welcome a pop star to live with them. James Corden is attached to the project as an executive producer.

The Carmichael Show alumna Amber Stevens West is set as the female lead opposite Damon Wayans Jr. and Felix Mallard in CBS’ multi-camera comedy pilot from writers Tim McAuliffe and Austen Earl and The Late Late Show with James Corden executive producer Ben Winston. West’s casting is in second position to the Fox comedy series Ghosted where she is series regular…Written by McAuliffe and Earl, the untitled comedy revolves around Peter (Wayans) and Claire (West), a thirtysomething couple who are tired of their mundane life and start to reconnect with their younger, cooler selves when an emerging pop star (Mallard), who is drawn to their super-normal suburban life, moves in.
