Alongside music artist Branknu, Atlanta based comedian Dukk will prep to release a free comedy mixtape for fans based on 1995’s Friday. This week, Dukk who is known for his viral presence using Instagram and YouTube, shared with us and his fans the artwork cover of the upcoming project. For the cover, the two re-enact the original films poster of characters Craig Jones, and Smokey’s porch scene. With their upcoming mixtape entitled ‘Friday,’ they will debut several original songs based around the comedy classic that broke comedic stars like Chris Tucker, A.J. Johnson, John Witherspoon, and Faizon Love. To help produce a quality project they have recruited known music influencer DJ Southanbred, as the mixtapes director. For Southanbred, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen him involved in a comedy production, back in August he joined ‘The Hudson Brothers’ on their ‘Thoteesha’ sketch. The entire mixtape is expected to be released November 28th, and made available on Soundcloud, DatPiff, with selected tracks on iTunes. And of course they plan to produce some visuals to a few of the tracks, so stay tune.

I love Dukk as a comedian. His material takes truths, things we think but never dare to say, and even pain and turn them into very funny jokes that we can all laugh at; but also relate to. I’m excited to hear this mixtape!!!!! Pretty sure the videos are going to be hilarious
