Bad Boys is getting ready for a return back into theaters. We’ve seen both Martin Lawrence and Will Smith confirm that the movie franchise is close to start begin filming again. Several days ago; Sony reported that the 4th installment of Bad Boys will be nationwide on May 24, 2019.

According to Variety, Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Bad Boys 4 now have official 2019 release dates: July 5 and May 24, respectively. The naming of a date for Bad Boys 4 comes as a surprise (though it has been rumored in recent weeks), given the repeated delays in the making of Bad Boys 3. Martin Lawrence recently said that the movie was going to begin filming in March of next year, but his co-star Will Smith was suspiciously cagey when asked to confirm that on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying only that filming was “very, very, very close.” As of now, the probably-R-rated Bad Boys 3 is scheduled to open Jan. 12, 2018. The original film in the series came out back in 1995, with a critically panned (a dismal 23% on Rotten Tomatoes) but commercially successful sequel following in 2003.
