Damon Wayans Jr. Set To Star In FX’s ‘Singularity’

Like father, like son. Soon after after reporting that Damon Wayans Sr. will be back for a new season of Lethal Weapon on FOX; Damon Wayans Jr. was announced to star on a new series with FX. In the new series Damon Jr. will play a hip technology lover in ‘Singularity’.

The ‘Happy Endings’ alum has been the most sought-after actor this pilot season. Damon Wayans Jr. has lined up his next TV role. The actor, who has been fielding multiple broadcast pilot offers, has been tapped to star in FX comedy Singularity, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Picked up to pilot in August after landing at FX following a multiple-network bidding war, the comedy is set in a future when artificial intelligence greatly surpasses human intelligence, resulting in profound changes to our society. Wayans will star as Doug, a guy who loves to be in the moment and is often dressed in Yeezy street wear. Contrary to some, Doug is happily reliant on AI and seeks out all the pleasures technology has to offer.
