Dave Chappelle Didn’t Know Of Real Life ‘Black Klansman’ When He Shot Clayton Bigsby Sketch

One of Dave Chappelle’s most loved sketches was when he portrayed a blind KKK member on ‘The Chappelle Show’. Audiences would go on to call Chappelle’s ‘Clayton Bigsby’ character a classic and had all of us wondering how possible was it for a story like that to exist. Well, Spike Lee’s newest film ‘BlacKkKlansman’ has brought the true story of a Black Klans member to the forefront. While attending the premiere event for ‘BlacKkKlansman’, Chappelle would talk with BlackTreeTV and admitted that during the filming of his blind KKK member sketch, he had no idea about the true life story of retired officer Ron Stallworth.
