Dave Chappelle Is Hosting Saturday Night Live On November 12th, First Time Ever


Dave Chappelle is taking his talents to the stages of Saturday Night Live on November 12th . It was announced today that the comedy great will be be stopping by as the show’s official host for the first time ever. What does that mean for viewers? We could be seeing Chappelle in sketches to remind us about his glorious run with The Chappelle Show on Comedy Central. A Tribe-Called Quest will be the show’s musical guest.

Comic Dave Chappelle is set to make his Saturday Night Live debut as host of the November 12 show — the first one after Election Day. A Tribe Called Quest, which is releasing its first album since 1998 the day before, will be the musical guest on NBC’s late-night stalwart. Chappelle is a veteran stand-up comic and actor who from 2003-2006 created and starred in the popular and influential Comedy Central sketch series Chappelle’s Show. He made his big-screen debut in Mel Brooks’ Robin Hood: Men In Tights and went on to co-write and star in the 1998 stoner classic Half-Baked. He also produced and starred in the Michel Gondry-helmed docu Dave Chappelle’s Block Party.
