Deon Cole Visits The Breakfast Club: Tells Katt Williams Story, Chicago Comedy, And Writing For Comedians

Deon Cole has been making the rounds apart of his stop in New York City for several shows at Carolines Comedy Club. For this sit down he took a trip down memory lane as they discussed his start in comedy, landing a job on Conan, Black-ish, Katt Williams, and even being a writer for comedians. Deon went on to reveal that he once wrote for Nick Cannon, and Katt Williams which they both didn’t use his material.

Katt never used anything I wrote for him [laughs].. Katt is good people…. He’s a brilliant dude… you don’t know if he’s just doing that… he’s just on a whole another level of marketing…

His Katt story later touched on a moment when Williams had a surprise party with girl’s catching gift wrapping paper, and a king’s thrown. Towards the end, Deon went on to explain how he stopped smoking marijuana due to a bad experience with fellow comedian Honest John.
