Eric Andre, John Oliver, And Keegan Michael-Key Join Disney’s Lion King With Donald Glover And Beyonce

Disney’s upcoming remake of The Lion King has now unveiled their full line-up of stars, and this cast is stacked! It was previously revealed that the franchise would be teaming up with Donald Glover as Simba and now Beyonce Knowles has been announced as Nala. Amongst the two big names, we can’t help but mention the line-up of comedy star also attached to the film. John Oliver, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Eric Andre, and Keegan Michael-Key will all take on big roles in the long awaited film. Disney made the announcement across their social media channels today.

Fans have speculated about Beyoncé’s involvement for months. Back in March, it was reported that the film’s director, Jon Favreau, was looking to the 36-year-old singer for the role of Nala—the best friend-turned-love interest of Simba. Sources told Variety the studio was willing to do what ever it took to accommodate Beyoncé’s schedule, as she was pregnant with twins when she received the initial offer.
