This year has been a good one for both Jerrod Carmichael and Hannibal Buress. The two have just finished some pretty big runs on network television with the first seasons of their TV shows (The Carmichael Show, and Why With Hannibal). Now the two are headed to the Dubai’s upcoming comedy festival. The October festival, will be the first one for Dubai, as they have brought in Dave Chappelle to headline the event. Hannibal also will make a trip to the middle east to drop off a few jokes including Trevor Noah.
Joining Hollywood funnyman Dave Chappelle and incoming host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Trevor Noah for the festival from October 15 to 24, will be American comedian Hannibal Buress and African-American comic Jerrod Carmichael on October 16. UAE-based Indian comedian Nitin Mirani has also been added to the homegrown talent programme of the show. He will headline the ‘Desi Invasion’ on October 17, performing alongside Atul Khatri, Abish Mathew, Kenneth Sebastian and Neeti Palta. Other comedians announced for the 10-day festival that will be held in a purpose-built 4,500 seat venue at the Dubai Marina are Saudi comic and YouTube sensation Bader Saleh, American comic and magician Mac King and Emirati stand-up comedian Ali Al Sayed.
It was recently announced that Jerrod will be returning to NBC for a season two of his show, The Carmichael Show.
