As a recent guest on Complex’s At-Home version of ‘Open Late’ with host Peter Rosenberg, Kevin Hart would sit down for a one-one to highlight moments in his career. At one point in the conversation, Hart would open up about his goal to create a modern version of Harlem Nights that would unite today’s most notable comedians. He would specifically name Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Cedric The Entertainer.
Along with a several other predictable names, he would then share that he hopes he could also team up with Mike Epps and Katt Williams for the possible project.
“My dream is creating that Harlem Nights feel of film for today…. I would say Dave, Chris, Ced…myself… despite all of the dumb shit…that has happened with your Katts and Mikes, there’s still people that would move the needle.. I’m not the grudge dude… if there’s still a way to get passed the dumb shit and for them to see the greater of good…”
For some this would come as a surprise, as it has been heavily documented that both Williams and Epps have had exchanges with Hart.
