Las Vegas is known as the premier destination for best comedy shows. We’re talking iconic performers including Ray Romano, Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Brad Garrett, Carrot Top, Andrew Dice Clay, David Spade, and dozens of others. Las Vegas is a city of pulse-pounding entertainment where fun and games await eager revelers, 24/7. While many folks believe that Vegas was built on gambling, there is another school of thought that believes Vegas was built on good times at the comedy clubs.
The iconic Las Vegas Strip is home to an unforgettable selection of performers. These include folks like Seth Meyers, Wayne Brady, Kevin James, Kathy Griffin, Jim Norton, Dave Attell, and Amy Schumer. Everywhere you go, Las Vegas is bubbling over with comedy. Sometimes it’s raucous in-your-face entertainment, other times it’s educated humor with an acquired taste. Some entertainers like Carrot Top have potty mouths, while Jerry Seinfeld performing at Caesars hardly ever drops the F-bomb.
Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club
Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club is nestled in the underground section of the MGM Grand Hotel. Everyone knows Garrett for playing Ray Romano’s brother in Everybody Loves Raymond. He was the older brother of Ray, the police officer. But once you get to see Brad Garrett in person, it’s an entirely different persona on stage. Say goodbye to Mr. Nice Guy and hello to Mr. Offensive, Mr. Politically Incorrect, and Mr. Smartass.
Brad Garrett’s comedy club is perhaps one of the finest Vegas destinations for your giggles. Garrett hosts the evening, but there are multiple other top-tier entertainers standing by to keep you laughing out loud. The fact that Brad Garrett has his very own comedy club at the prestigious MGM Grand is nothing to scoff at. It’s an honor par excellence to be in his presence since he’s so darn good at his craft. There are new entertainers on stage all the time, and Garrett is regularly in attendance as well.
There is no doubt that Las Vegas has its fair selection of world-class comedians. One of them resides at the Luxor Hotel, and his name is none other than Carrot Top. This crass and asinine entertainer virtually sells out on every show, and he’s been doing this for years. In fact, Carrot Top has headlined at the Luxor Hotel since 2005. He was the AT&T guy, and he appeared on multiple commercials in his youth. Today, Carrot Top is a mega-rich prop comedian with a string of devout followers the world over.
He is a Vegas icon, as much a part of Las Vegas as the pyramid hotel he lives at. He takes a swing at fellow Vegas entertainers, the unrelenting walks and distances between hotels on the strip, and if you are lucky enough to be within reach he will give you a shot of vodka or tequila while the show is in progress. His shows are always perfectly synchronized, and his opening act is a real hoot. For laugh out loud entertainment, there is no one better than Carrot Top. PS he is vulgar, offensive, and self-deprecating – if you can stomach all of that, this is the show for you!
The Laugh Factory
The Tropicana Hotel hosts the Laugh Factory. It’s across the street, or rather the bridge, from the MGM Grand, and it’s a great place to have some fun. It’s a venue where up-and-coming comedians get to showcase their talent in grand style, to a packed audience of fans on a daily basis. Over the years, the Laugh Factory has hosted the world’s finest comedians from the East Coast, the West Coast, and everywhere in between. Top names include Roseanne Barr, Andrew Dice Clay, Jim Carrey, Nick Cannon, and the legendary Dave Chapelle. The Laugh Factory is highly rated on travel sites like Trip Advisor with either an excellent or very good ranking from hundreds of guests. When you’re looking for some fun, this peppy venue is the ultimate comedy club for fans.
The Laugh Factory is one of the most established venues for comedians to perform at. An enviable selection of entertainers has frequented this venue since it opened its doors in 1979 in Hollywood, California. Once it moved to Las Vegas, business boomed. USA Today has ranked it as the #1 comedy club in the country, and there are multiple locations including Chicago and Long Beach California. In case you’re wondering which other stars you’re likely to see there, consider guys like Jeff Foxworthy, David Letterman, Howie Mandel, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, John Stewart, Gary Shandling, Jerry Seinfeld, Martin Lawrence, Paul Reiser, Milton Berle and loads of others. The typical shows run for 60 minutes between 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM. There is an 18+ age restriction, given the rude or obscene language, sexual references, and offensive content.
Menopause, the musical, is an unbelievable entertainment attraction. As its namesake suggests, it’s about women going through menopause and understanding the biological and psychological and emotional changes taking place in their lives. It is laughing out loud hilarious. Make no mistake about it – men and women will love this spectacular show, and it’s a high-energy driven comedy that is fully performed by women across the board.
Menopause was voted the Best Live Show by Vegas Seven back in 2015. Just in case you’re wondering, you’ll get to hear some of the most incredible hits from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Each of the women performing in the show is super talented, and you will be clutching your sides in hysterics. Menopause is hosted at the Improv Showroom at Harrah’s Casino in Las Vegas. Of course, music and comedy go hand-in-hand. Las Vegas is home to some of the best music shows of all time, and these spectacular extravaganzas are always better when they are served up with a dose of comedy.
Remember the Seinfeld Show? Of course, you do! It was one of the most popular sitcoms ever in the history of television. And now, Jerry Seinfeld, the eponymous name that made that show great has his own show at Caesars Casino. Seinfeld is the undisputed King of Intellectual Comedy. His particular brand of incisive humor is unique; he displays an unusually insightful understanding of human behavior, and he delivers his lines with aplomb. Seinfeld has collaborated with other legendary comedians in the form of Larry David, and that’s what gave rise to the Seinfeld Show. It was the People’s Choice Award winner, a multiple Emmy award-winning show, and a Golden Globe-winning production.
Jerry Seinfeld is great at performing adult humor, sans all the vulgarity of other modern-day comedians. While he doesn’t live at Caesars Palace, he regularly visits to perform his stand-up gig, and it’s always a sell-out. The Las Vegas Theater had this to say about the Seinfeld show at Caesars, ‘Comedians don’t get much bigger than global phenomenon Jerry Seinfeld’. He understands the family dynamic so well, that it resonates in his mannerisms, tone, and diction. Seinfeld is a master of his craft, and anyone who frequents Vegas should ensure that their travel dates overlap with the days that Seinfeld is performing at Caesars Palace. Jerry performs on Fridays and Saturdays at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and visitors can expect nothing less than comedy excellence from inception to the final curtain.
