Leslie Jones Is Upset That Online Troll Milo Yiannopoulos Now Has A Book Coming

Last year; Leslie Jones received some harsh treatment online across social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter. The rude comments seemed to surge right around the time of her then film Ghostbuster premiering in theaters. One person seemed to stand out amongst the criticism, online personiality Milo Yiannopoulos. His behavior crossed so many lines that Twitter decided to remove him as a user of their platform. Despite receiving backlash all of last year; it was announced that Milo has now landed a book deal. Now upon hearing the news Leslie Jones decided to let the upcoming book’s publisher know her concerns.

The publishing giant Simon & Schuster has gotten a lot of flack in the past few days following the announcement of their book deal with notorious alt-right figure, Breitbart editor, and Twitter harasser Milo Yiannopoulos. The publisher paid Yiannopoulos a reported $250,000 advance for a forthcoming title, and when word of that deal reached the public, the public was, well … not into it. The feedback reached enough of a crescendo, in fact, that Simon & Schuster felt compelled to issue a statement about it… Understandably, Jones is not altogether excited to see her alpha tormentor get a book deal, nor the book’s publisher defend its (tepid) reasoning. Jones tweeted at Simon & Schuster, excoriating them for their role in spreading hate…
