Lil Rel Finds Younger Brother For ‘Rel’ Series, Meet Jordan L. Jones

Lil Rel continues to push forward with his newly announced pilot, REL. The project which is being developed at FOX will be loosely based on some of Rel’s actual life all while taking on the West Side of Chicago. Today, it was revealed that newcomer Jordan L. Jones has been cast to play Rel’s young brother, Nat, in the series. As you should know Jerrod Carmichael is attached to the project to help executive produce the pilot. “Found my tv little brother @jordan.l.jones very talented and very funny… “Rel” is really coming together…,” Rel would write on his Instagram while announcing the news.

Written/executive produced by Josh Rabinowitz & Kevin Barnett and Howery, and inspired by Howery’s real life, Rel, from 20th Century Fox TV, centers on Lil Rel (Howery), a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to “always believe in yourself and great things will come.” Rel finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the West Side of Chicago who’s on a quest for love, respect and a new barber.

REL will be Jones’s first regular role. The upcoming actor has been showing most of his acting chops on his social media channels. Check out a few comedic videos featuring Jones, from his Instagram page.
