Fresh off his newest film, The Uncle Drew movie, Lil Rel is now getting ready to get back in front of the camera. For Netflix’s ‘Bird Box’, Rel now joins actress Sandra Bullock, and Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes. According to Variety, the film will be an interesting one, as it will follows “A woman and a pair of children who are blindfolded, and make their way through a post-apocalyptic setting along a river.” Rel’s role in the project is currently under wraps but the stand-up comedian shared he was happy to be apart of the flick. On his Instagram, Rel went on to write, “Yeah these movie moves ain’t stopping anytime soon… Excited to be part of this amazing cast.” Other involed in the film include Danielle Macdonald, Jacki Weaver, Sarah Paulson, and Rosa Salazar. John Malkovich is also on board. Susanne Bier is directing “Bird Box” from a script by “Arrival” writer Eric Heisserer. The story follows a woman and a pair of children who are blindfolded, and make their way through a post-apocalyptic setting along a river. Dylan Clark is producing with Chris Morgan and Clayton Townsend. The film was developed by Scott Stuber at Universal, before he moved to Netflix to head its feature film division.
