Martin Lawrence Doesn’t Think ‘Bad Boys 3’ Is Happening, Like The Rest Of Us

Last week we found out that Bad Boys 3 was taken off the schedule of releases in the coming year, which immediately was viewed as a red flag. In the last several years there has been talks about the franchise coming back for a third installment. At one point things looked promising and the the two leads, Martin Lawrence and Will Smith were even pictured together. Now following the news of the schedule change, Martin is saying something that many of us feel, “Bad Boys 3 is probably not happening.” In a recent talk with Entertainment Weekly, Lawrence shared his doubts on teaming back up with Smith for Bad Boys 3. According to him Will’s schedule and the timing appears to be the projects greatest hurdle.

Over the last few months, the long-gestating third installment in the Martin Lawrence and Will Smith-led franchise has lost its director and release date. Now, 14 years after Bad Boys II, even one of the stars is questioning whether the film ever gets made.  “I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out,” Lawrence tells EW. “Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

In the same interview, Lawrence did also conclude his Bad Boys 3 comments, by again confirming that he was on board if it were to ever happen.
