A ‘Reno 911!’ Movie Is In The Works According To Niecy Nash

Sitcom Reno 911 will always be remembered as a classic show on Comedy Central. It’s storylines and unique cast would go on to create a cult following during it’s 6 year run. Now that time has gone by and people appear to be lining up at the theaters for some nostalgic moments, a new Reno 911 movie could be happening. According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedic actress Niecy Nash who starred in the series is working on getting everyone back together for a movie. Think it’s time?

The cast of Reno 911! is ready to serve and protect again. Niecy Nash told The Hollywood Reporter that a movie based on the Comedy Central Cops spoof series is in the works. “I’m trying to get everybody to commit to it this summer!” the comedian, who played Deputy Raineesha Williams, said Monday night at the premiere of Alexander Payne’s latest film, Downsizing. The series ran from 2003 to 2009. A film Reno 911!: Miami was released in 2007. Netflix reportedly tried to revive the show in 2011.
