Last year, Martin Lawrence revealed that the world would be getting a Bad Boys 3 film. In previous interviews Martin also shared that he was ready to begin filming but was waiting to see when Will’s schedule would open for the project. Since then talks on the new installment have been kept quite, until now. News is out that the franchise is planning it’s next steps to begin production, and looks to have found their director.
Sony is eyeing Joe Carnahan as a potential director for Will Smith’s “Bad Boys 3.” The studio is in early talks with Carnahan to do a re-write on a “Bad Boys 3″ script by “Safe House” writer David Guggenheim with an eye to directing. Smith has been filming Warner Bros.’ “Suicide Squad” portraying the Floyd Lawton / Deadshot character….Carnahan most recently directed “Stretch,” starring Patrick Wilson, Ed Helms and Chris Pine, and has also been busy on the TV front, exec producing the NBC dramas “Blacklist” and “State of Affairs.”
