Watch: Jamie Foxx Is Premiering A ‘Redd Foxx Audio-Documentary’ On SiriusXM

If you can’t tell by the name, Jamie Foxx is a big fan of late comedian Redd Foxx. This October on his network with SiriusXM he will be airing a audio-documentary to go over the life of Redd and his notable career in comedy. A trailer of the upcoming piece has been released and we catch glimpses of Redd’s relationships with Malcolm X, and Bill Cosby.

“Redd Foxx: We’ve Come to Join You” will chronicle the life and legacy of the “Sanford and Son” star, as well as feature personal stories from those who knew him best. The audio documentary will debut exclusively on SiriusXM’s Foxxhole Channel 96 on October 11 at 8:00 pm ET. The documentary – timed to the 25th anniversary of Foxx’s sudden passing – will give an unparalleled look into Foxx’s life through commentary from fellow comedian Eddie Griffin; comedian and writer on “Sanford and Son,” Paul Mooney; his sister-in-law Linda Griner; longtime friend and former co-star Della Reese-Lett, who was on set with Foxx during his heart attack; producer and writer on “The Redd Foxx Comedy Hour,” Bob Einstein; and many others close to Foxx. The documentary will also include rarely heard stand-up from the late icon.
